Chicago's Luxury Palmer House Hotel Did Not Live Up To Our Expectations!

Why didn't Chicago's luxury Palmer House Hotel live up to our expectations? The Palmer House Hotel is a Hilton-run hotel that's been part of Chicago for over 150 years. Potter Palmer was a Chicago business magnate who gave his new bride, Bertha Honoré Palmer, this beautiful hotel. However, only 13 days after its grand opening, the Palmer House fell victim to the Great Chicago Fire. But that didn’t deter Potter. He rebuilt and on November 8, 1873, the new Palmer House welcomed its first guests, marking the opening of what would become the nation’s longest continually operating hotel. So, what didn't we like about it? Tune in to find out! Palmer House Hilton 17 East Monroe Street Chicago, IL 60603 TEL: 312.726.7500
