A blues festival in Bogalusa is postponed

BOGALUSA, LA - The 10th Annual Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival is postponed due to the COVID-19 situation. The festival was scheduled for September 24 to 25, 2021, and takes place at Cassidy Park, Bogalusa, Washington Parish. More information about the rescheduling date will be announced.

Formed in 2012, the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Organization was made in tribute to Bogalusan music legends, as well as to promote music heritage. This non-profit organization is the organizer of the annual festival.

The festival is usually held in September each year. Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival is notable in the country, also have won many awards. Various entertainers, from blues to other regional genres will perform on two stages provided at the venue. Attendees can enjoy the music as they savor delicacies sold by the vendors. Children can enjoy many experiences, such as crafting and music lessons. You can find local arts here as well.

All festival attendees, volunteers, and vendors will be required to have a wristband during the festival. The colors match the ticket type that you have purchased. The bands will be distributed at the main gate.

Attendees are allowed to bring chairs and blankets. Service animals are allowed in the venue. Attendees are asked to dress appropriately since the festival is a family-friendly event. Sunscreens and hats are encouraged to bring.

Some of the prohibited items are alcohol and food from outside, pets, open umbrellas, large tarps, generators, firearms or weapons, drones or remote-controlled aerial devices, fireworks or explosive devices, sound systems, and tents. Flash photography is not allowed as well.

At this festival, only cash is accepted. Attendees are advised to withdraw some money before going to the festival.
