1. Hollywood Sign

The Hollywood Sign (formerly the Hollywoodland Sign) is an American landmark and cultural icon overlooking Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Visitors can hike to the sign from the Bronson Canyon entrance to Griffith Park or Griffith. The hike is about 3-4 miles.

2. Walk of Fame

It is a popular tourist destination, with an estimated 10 million annual visitors in 2010. The stars bearing the names of a mix of musicians, actors, directors, producers, musical, theatrical groups, fictional characters and others.

3. Venice Beach

Enjoy a unique experience with your kids at Venice beach. The beach part of Venice Beach is a worthwhile and different place to visit on weekends.

Venice has a different scene with hucksters, tattoo parlors, muscle beach, homeless, a bike path, lots of local colors, and it is adjacent to the sand.

4. Malibu

Malibu offers 27 miles of beachfront to explore, so whether you prefer to run on the sand or get in the water, you'll enjoy spending time here. If you're hoping to get a glimpse of some of those impressive beach homes, head to Carbon Beach, also known as Billionaire's Beach.

5. Kidspace Museum

Kidspace is a nonprofit museum designed to delight and engages children emotionally, intellectually, and physically through joyful, kid-driven experiences.
