Experts Say: Fauci’s ‘cruel, taxpayer-funded experiments on puppies’ was a fatal mistake

“Fauci is in big, big trouble after latest discovery,” author Dinesh D’Sousa tweeted. According to new allegations, Fauci’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) division approved studies in which beagle puppies were sedated and their heads were trapped in cages filled with starving, diseased sandflies. The drug experiments were presumably carried out despite the fact that the FDA does not require new medications to be tested on dogs.

“Dr. Fauci’s division at the National Institutes of Health @NIH wasted over $424,000 on deadly and unnecessary experiments on beagles. Thank you @WhiteCoatWaste for the expose! #BeagleGate #PaulsPups,” Senator Rand Paul tweeted.

A university has defended research that has been slammed by an anti-taxpayer animal experimentation organization.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) allocated $424,455 to the University of Georgia in September 2020 to infect 28 beagles with disease-causing parasites, according to records uncovered by the White Coat Waste Project.

The focus of the group’s criticism was on the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and its director, Dr. Anthony Fauci. The organization informed media outlets that it didn’t know whether Fauci authorized the trial directly, but that his NIH section did.

The animals were to be allowed to develop diseases for three months before being slaughtered for blood collection, according to documents acquired under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and examined by the right-wing news source The Daily Caller.

During the studies, the animals “vocalized in pain” according to the records. The report was based on censored papers that specified research that would begin on November 12, 2020, and end after 196 days with the beagles being killed.

The records revealed Fauci “needs to be held accountable for his wasteful and cruel spending,” according to White Coat Waste Project research manager Daniel Lopez.

Speaking of Research, a worldwide advocacy organization has criticized the White Coat Waste Project and its larger assertions that animal research occurs in the United States without accountability and at enormous public cost.

The National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases indicated they supported financing for virus research in bats and mammals, but they had never authorized funds for coronavirus gain-of-function research.
