(Wilmington, DE): West Side Grows Together has organized a weekly farmers market to be held every Wednesday from 3-6 pm, now through October. Located on Union Street in the parking lot between Flowers by Yukie and First State Health & Wellness, the Union Street Farmers Market is bringing a variety of vendors to Little Italy and the surrounding neighborhoods. The market is now accepting WIC & SNFMP and will soon be able to accept SNAP, and EBT.
The farmers market is currently holding an open call for vendors of prepared foods and food trucks. Any local businesses or individuals interested in participating or receiving more information are encouraged to email the organizers at unionstreetfarmersmarket@westsidegrows.org or reach out via the Facebook page.
This season the Union Street Farmers Market has two farm vendors, Second Chances Farm and Kranz Hill Farm, who will be providing fresh, local produce every week. Iris & Callisto’s Apiary will be selling infused honey, woodenware, and other hive products and The Wedge is offering a colonial era favorite beverage: the switchel. The market plans on bringing in more vendors throughout the season so keep an eye on the Union Street Farmers Market Facebook and Instagram for more news.
