Jewish Food Tour of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City
In this JEWISH FOOD TOUR of the LOWER EAST SIDE of New York City, we visit some historic family-owned Jewish food businesses including a Kosher Jewish bakery, a classic Jewish steakhouse and a recently opened but highly acclaimed Israeli-owned bakery. The Lower East Side of Manhattan had a huge large Jewish immigrant population in the early 1900s and was a major shopping destination We also stop in and speak with the Jewish owner of a long-standing menswear business and see interesting city street life and historic buildings in the Lower East Side along the way. Please note that Sammy's Roumanian Style Restaurant at 157 Chrystie Street New York, NY closed in December 2020 due to the pandemic.
