South Street Seaport New York City Walking Tour

JamesandKarla are New-York based YouTubers and are tourists in their own city, visiting the South Street Seaport of lower Manhattan in New York City. Many people regard the Seaport as a tourist-only destination but we (JamesandKarla) loved walking its cobblestone streets lined with 18th and 19th-century old buildings and found many unique independently-owned shops, cafes and restaurants, which are definitely a must visit for everyone! We also highlight the amazing views the Seaport offers of both the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge as well as local architecture including Cannon Walk, as the South Street Seaport has the highest concentration of early 19th century commercial buildings since it was declared a historic district in 1977.

We are architectural/interior photographers & videographers based in NYC. We started our video channel to act an artistic intervention to help raise awareness of the importance of small independently-owned businesses and the unique character these shops add to the streets and neighborhoods of New York City. In our videos we will showcase portraits of storefronts and shop owners in New York City & beyond and capture moments of city life that capture the spirit, energy and cultural diversity of individual neighborhoods. We also bring our rescue dog, Hudson along whenever we can.
