ATLANTA, GA – Have you ever wanted to try and experience life at a farm? Or maybe you’re planning to travel out of the state so you can pet some soft and fluffy alpacas? Well, look no further, because this farm tour and alpaca trek experience might just be the one you’re looking for.
Located at Shaka Alpaca Farm (380 Radford Road, Murphy, NC 28906), join Matt as he takes you on a quick tour around the farm. He will guide you on how to safely interact with the alpacas and goats before taking you to their chicken yard to collect some fresh eggs. Then, you will get a chance to feed the goats, move them, milk them, and also take pictures with them.
Alpacas are gentle and friendly creatures with the softest fleece and large expressive eyes. You won’t have to worry about aggression. If you’re lucky, you will be able to help move the alpacas to graze at the fields or feed them grains. The “Alpaca Trek” will bring you along to a ½ mile walk across the farmlands and country roads. You will have a chance to take some alpaca selfies and purchase some farm products at the end of the trek.
This experience is available every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with three-time slots each day. Every participant of this experience will be charged $25 and are free to choose from the three available time slots.
