MENTOR, OH – Mentor CityFest will make its return this year to Mentor Civic Center Park for two days from Friday, August 20, at 4-11 p.m., to Saturday, August 21 at 12-11 p.m.

Presented by University Hospitals, the festival will feature food, games, entertainment, and more family-friendly activities. There will be live music every evening on each day with one of the performances to give the ultimate Michael Jackson sensation by Who’s Bad. The live music will be performed at the Mentor Civic Amphitheater stage.

Children of all ages will also be able to enjoy the festivity through the CityFest Kids Zone with a huge size of inflatables and interactive games for all kids to play. CityFest Zone will take place on Civic Center grounds featuring giant slides, bounce houses, warrior dash, 70’ obstacle run, zip line, rock wall, extreme trampoline, and a course to play mobile ninja warrior.

There will be an Adult Zone where beer trailers, cornhole, and party games, such as axe-throwing are in store for adults to unwind. Visitors can also enjoy other interactive entertainment and activities the CityFest has to offer including strolling performers, the “Fest Money” game, and numerous other activities available through community sponsors.

Local enterprises and communities such as service organizations and non-profits will have their tent set on Main Street. More than 20 food vendors will also attend to offer various types of festival food to your pleasure such as sausage sandwiches, funnel cakes, lemonade, as well as sweet treats, and other favorite selections.

Be sure to follow the Mentor CityFest Parade with more than 100 groups participating including Mentor High School Marching Band and City of Mentor Float on Saturday at 10 a.m. The parade will start from Shore Middle School to the festival venue via Hopkins, Center Street, and Civic Center Boulevard.

You can also register for the CityFest Color Dash & Walk on Saturday at 6 p.m. to join 2.5-mile run that starts and finishes in CityFest. The route will be decorated in seven colors and available for all ages to enjoy.

The parking area will be at Mentor High School, Mentor Senior Center, Mentor Fire Station #5, Mentor Police Department, and the Laketran parking lot on Market Street. Mentor Municipal Center will be reserved for handicapped parking for people with permanent handicap placards by the State of Ohio.

The parking and the admission are free, but some activities such as bounce houses and others will need additional tickets that are available at the event. Register yourself as a volunteer or vendor through www.mentorcityfest.com.
