CLEVELAND, OH — On July 8, 2021, American Greetings is excited to announce the release of their new customized video ecard, produced by and featuring music icon Alicia Keys. The new ecard features Keys in her own designed secret place where she gives a personalized, heartfelt and entertaining greeting.

"It was an honor to work with Alicia Keys, and especially this year as she celebrates the anniversary of 'Songs in A Minor'," said Rob Matousek, Executive Director-Direct to Consumer Business at American Greetings.

With hits such as "No One", her collaboration with rapper Jay Z "Empire State Of Mind", as well as R&B singer Usher, "My Boo", the fifteen-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist is one of the most celebrated musicians in this era. According to Matousek, the purpose of this collaboration is to inspire people to connect with one another and make them feel special.

"Your Day" SmashUp is based on her song "New Day", which was published in 2012 on one of her brilliant albums, "Girl On Fire". In this first edition, users can send personalized birthday greetings to one of 1,000 plus names of people to choose from.

"I always wished I could celebrate birthdays and other special moments with each and every one of the people that love and support me and my music and I'm so excited that now I'm able to do just that with these incredibly special SmashUps. You are going to feel it and LOVE it!" said Keys.

The birthday SmashUp edition featuring Alicia Keys is available via Blue Mountain and the American Greetings websites as well as through the SmashUps app for iPhone and Android. Further occasions aside from birthdays will be included as soon as possible.
