For about 10 years the Warriors brand of basketball was all about hitting deep 3’s and playing good defense when you had to. They didn’t really use a center and have only 3 players 6' 9" or taller making them the shortest team in the NBA.

The Warriors need a true center that has talents on both ends of the floor especially on defense.

The Warriors Weaknesses:

In the losses to the Lakers Klay Thompson was 14 for 46 from 3 point range. Wiggins was only 5 for 18 from 3 and was even worse from 3 against the Kings.

Anthony Davis at times dominated the Warriors who need a true center. Add Nikola Jokic from Denver and now you have 2 of the best big men in the NBA in your conference. The Kings are the mirror image of the Warriors so they can be handled but the Warriors have no answers for Davis and Jokic.

This was the first playoff in a long time where the Warriors struggled this much defensively. Without a defense they don’t have those long scoring runs they are known for. Jordan Poole was not a factor and looked overwhelmed. Klay Thompson and Wiggins were inconsistent on both ends of the floor. Curry especially struggled being beaten off the dribble against the Kings and the Lakers often.

Why Lebron James to the Warriors Makes No Sense:

The Warriors are an aging team. Next season Curry will be 36 and Thompson and Draymond Green will be 34. LeBron will be 39 and all 4 of them have a lot of miles on them. James gets a lot of credit for his big games but he's also struggled.

Against the Warriors who didn’t play very good defense, he was 13 for 39 from three. Against Denver’s more active and physical defense he was 3 for 19 from 3 in his first 3 playoff games.

LeBron has never been a great defender but he will get in a great block at times but versus Denver he really struggled. Anthony Davis helped hide some of the their issues but they were beaten off the dribble often.

Adding LeBron James makes no sense. They will get older and worse defensively and they are already bad. And the days of having 5 perimeter players shooting 3’s is over.
