When rumors started swirling on social media that one of the members of Discovery Channel’s hit tv show Moonshiners was badly injured, many wanted to know what had happened. Josh Owens; who is no stranger to injuries and accidents; was badly injured in a motorcyle accident during a race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. His injuries were so extensive that there were even rumors on Facebook that he may have died. Those rumors proved to be false but the injuries to him were extensive.

Josh’s family had asked for prayers for Josh, but they didn’t let people talk about his injuries until recently. Another star on the show; Steven Ray Tickle; has been helping out on fundraisers for Josh and his family and also gave an update on all of his injuries.

On his March 18th Facebook post, Tickle gave the bad news. “Update on Josh, he is out of ICU, he has broken his neck, his wrist, both legs, an ankle, a bruised aorta, liver and kidneys. He had another surgery today of many. For those that don’t know, he was in an motorcycle accident on March 5 in Florida. Keep praying for him please, he has a long road of recovery ahead”.

To help Josh out financially, a gofundme was started.

Josh’s friend Freddie Bollwage shared a picture of Josh to the public.

Moonshiners has been a popular hit for the network for going on 13 years. The show follows the exploits of backwoods moonshiners and how they make their liquor while evading the law.
