As the summer swings into full gear and mask mandates are slowly repealed, people have been eager for opportunities to shop, dine, and relax outdoors. Following a year of stay-at-home orders, nearly everyone has been itching to return to life beyond the four walls and soak up the sun.
At the outdoor movie screenings hosted by the Rooftop Cinema Club, Dallas locals can do just that. After debuting its first Dallas drive-in last August, Rooftop Cinema Club is back with their Summer Series, a lineup of al fresco movie screenings at Dallas Heritage Village.
The outdoor screenings have been hosted at Heritage Village since May but have swelled in popularity this summer. The open-air cinema puts on weekly showings, usually a mix of new and vintage films.
In Dallas Heritage Village, Rooftop Cinema Club has secured the perfect venue for an outdoor movie-watching experience. Nestled within the roughly 20 acres of land that Dallas Heritage Village boasts, the Summer Series at Heritage is incredibly spacious and a welcome sight to behold.
The abundance of trees and clear view of the ever-changing scenes of the sky provides guests with the perfect outdoor feel. Enjoying a sunset or two here is something I highly recommend to all Dallas locals and tourists this summer.
In addition to taking in the view and enjoying nature, Rooftop Cinema Club guests can also capture the moment at the venue's themed photo ops.
The decorative photo wall fits the vibe perfectly and gives guests the perfect backdrop for pictures to dazzle their Instagram followers with.
Of course, no movie experience is complete without food. And lots of it! Fortunately, Rooftop Cinema Club offers a variety of ways to cure your food cravings while at the show.
The outdoor venue offers fresh popcorn, candy, and movie snacks with contactless orders and pickup. They also have a special food and drink area with delicious eats from a local food truck and a full bar complete with craft cocktails, beer, and wine.
After snagging a couple of flicks for the gram and grabbing a bite to eat, Rooftop Cinema Club guests can find a seat on either a plush bean bag, a lounge seat, or a deckchair love seat for two.
Each seating arrangement is a different price, but tops out at just $20 for the love seat for two, making the cost comparable to a standard movie showing at the theaters. Additionally, a purchase of a bean bag and/or love seat ticket comes with a 6 oz. popcorn – a usual $5 value at the venue- giving consumers even more bang for their buck.
With plenty of space to remain socially distanced and enjoy the scenes of both nature and films, guests can enjoy their movie of choice without fear of getting sick- making the Summer Series at Heritage Village a can’t-miss opportunity on our #SummerBucketList.
Located in the heart of downtown Dallas, Rooftop Cinema Club is a perfect resting spot after an evening of shopping and exploring the city. With blockbuster films set to air weekly for the remainder of the summer, you don’t want to miss your chance to get in on the fun!
Tickets for the Dallas venue can be purchased and reserved ahead of time here.
