Christmas is just around the corner and you’ve probably done most of your shopping by now. One of the most difficult people to buy gifts for are the geeks in our lives. Sometimes, it’s just hard to figure out what they want.
So, to make things easier for you, here’s a list of fandom goodies to delight different types of geeks. First things first, you need to figure out what type of geek or nerd you have in your life before you buy them an epic gift they will never forget. Yes, there are different types of geeks! Let me break it down for you and clue you in on what they’ll love.
Vulcan Salute Shirt from the Star Trek Shop
Get your Star Trek-loving friends a very apt shirt for 2020! The shirt signals to the universe that you would rather Vulcan salute instead of shaking hands -- helping to keep the wearer out of the sickbay and in good health. You can buy it directly from the Star Trek shop for $19.95.

2. Star Wars Fans
The Child Animatronic Toy from Hasbro
There are many levels within this geekdom. The more modern Star Wars fans will most likely be into The Mandalorian Series. If they are, you’re in luck! The gift of choice for the Star Wars fan is no other than Hasbro’s animatronic version of The Child. Yes, people refer to it as Baby Yoda, but we recently found out that he has a name! This toy version of Grogu produces over 25 sound and motion combinations including babbling sounds and giggle. The head moves up and down, the ears move backward and forward and the eyes open and close.

3. The Gamer
PlayStation 5 by Sony
Okay, I’m not even going to pretend that there’s anything else you can get your gamer geek right now other than a PlayStation 5. It’s better in every way than the previous versions with lightning-fast loading, ultra high-speed SSD, adaptive triggers, can be played on a 4K TV. What I love most is that it has backward compatibility for older PS games. If you haven’t already snatched it up when it was first launched, then now is the time to get it. Supplies are hard to come by but you can try your luck in Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop or Walmart -- they may be restocking before Christmas. Due to Lithium-Ion battery restrictions, this one would be best to pick up in-store instead of having it shipped. It sells for $499.99 but the Digital Edition is only $399.99.

The 35-inch long umbrella has a wood handle, automatic opening, and black and white panels. The Umbrella icon is printed on the four white panels and the show’s logo is printed on the interior of the umbrella.

Game of Thrones Hand of the King Pin from Dark Horse Comics
To a true geek, a replica of any movie or famous TV show prop is always a precious gift. Want to give something simple but has quite the impact? Try this Game of Thrones Hand of the King Pin. In the series and the books by George R.R. Martin, the King’s Hand is the most powerful appointed position in the Seven Kingdoms, second only to the King in authority. This pin is based on the original prop and measures 3 inches. It is made from zinc alloy and sells for $12.99 from Dark Horse.

Ghostbuster fans would love the PKE Meter. One of the few things you can buy for adult collectors on the Mattel site, this replica is movie-accurate and features light sequences from Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, adjustable LED and screen animation speeds. It has three screen displays seen in the films -- diagonal, off and arc. Plus it has wings that actually open. It sells for $65.

5. The Horror Movie Geek
Horror Movie Gnomes by Revenant FX
While others may consider the horror movie aficionado as a subset of the TV and Movie geek, I believe deserve their own category. Finding the perfect gift for lovers of the macabre is not easy! Scouring the internet turned up some rather scary things, but none as creepy and adorable as the horror movie gnomes by Revenant FX. They have an Etsy store and a website where the latest wares are sold. The Canada-based company has an extensive range of garden nightmares from zombies to slashers, holiday horrors to infected wildlife. They are sold by piece and range between $55 to $70.
