Houston, TX - Houston will get a brand new shop for its churros and soft serve this month with the opening of The Loop Handcrafted Churros in Rice Village.
First founded in 2016 from Southern California, in Orange County, this toasty churros shop will open on Saturday, August 28, at 5216 Morningside Drive. This franchise in Houston is the first one outside of California, where they already have four others operated there. Following Houston, Dallas and Austin will soon have access to this tasty thing as the future locations are on progress.
The Loop Churros was founded by Minh and Loan Nguyen, a sibling that loved churros while growing up. When the pastry’ popularity started to increase in Asian countries like Singapore and Korea, this sibling decided to open the churro restaurant by themselves. The reason Minh and Loan Nguyen chose Houston as their first out of country location is because of how diverse the culinary industry in the city is.
Having a bunch of different flavors and styles, the company is popular for its loop-shaped churros that look perfect for Instagram. The churros itself is served with dipping sauces such as Reese’s peanut butter, Nutella, and strawberry. While the glazed one comes in different flavors like “crême brûloop,” chocolate almond, matcha Fruity Pebble, and toasted marshmallow.
The Loop Churros also has options for serving their churros with chocolate or vanilla sundae-style or swirled soft serve with S’mores, cookies and cream, and others as toppings. If you go there, you can customize your own churro with their variant of sauces, toppings and flavors.
Along with the dessert, the Loop also has cold brew coffee, tea, and lemonade for drinks. The new shop will open seven days a week, with the operation hour from noon to 10 p.m
