Space Center Houston's Explorer Camps for kids aged 4-5 years old

HOUSTON, TX — Space Center Houston has rolled out the schedule for Explorer Camps designed for children under 12 years old.

Each of the camps runs for four to five days, depending on the program.

Some of the camp batches have ended in early June, but there will still be camp dates coming up throughout the summer. Below is the schedule for the age group 4–5 years old:

  • Mars Explorers (5-day camp)

Date: July 12-16, Aug 9-13

Fee: $289.95

Campers will explore Mars and understand its position in the Solar System along with a knowledge of astronaut training, robotics, circuits, and rocketry.

  • Beginners Bot (5-day camp)

Date: July 5-9, Aug. 2-6

Fee: $289.95

Campers will learn how to design, build, and program robots, as well as learning to solve problems and improve coding skills to overcome space-related challenges.

  • Junior Space Explorers (5-day camp)

Date: July 19-23

Fee: $289.95

Campers will learn how to design, build, and program robots, as well as learning to solve problems and improve coding skills to overcome space-related challenges.

  • Our Place in Space (5-day camp)

Date: June 28-July 2, July 26-30

Fee: $289.95

The program consists of STEM activities to understand the Earth cycles and its position in the Solar System. Campers will also discover Earth’s features and what makes it liveable for humans.

Please note that campers do not stay overnight in the Space Center through the five-day programs.
