Water activities closed in Milavec Lake due to Suspicious Algae.

The Milavec Lake has suspended water activities due to suspicious algae. The Public Works Department immediately contacted a company to address the algae concerns. All water activities like fishing, boating, wading, and animals are prohibited around the lake.

Signs to put near the lakeside prohibiting water activities around the lake area and the details of the suspicious algae are not available right now. The Public Works Department is up with all the necessary actions and recommends people should avoid any water activity.

It comes after Sloan’s Lake recently tested positive for potentially deadly blue-green algae earlier this month. All the people and visitors should avoid all water activities for safety and security purposes. One should prohibit fishing or boating at the Milavec lake. The suspicious algae can be a threat to life, and one must take care of themselves around the lake.
