Last year Airbnb launched its global party ban, and the same goes on for this year. This year Airbnb will only allow reservations for the holiday weekend to abstain from unauthorized parties. Through new technology, Airbnb can restrict certain reservations to decrease the risk of unauthorized parties.
If you are under 25 and don't have a history of positive reviews on Airbnb, they can prevent you from making an entire home booking. In Charlotte, 5000 people got blocked by Airbnb. Airbnb says they will follow the same for the coming 4th of July holiday weekend.
Airbnb says that they are not doing it because they want to do it, nor they are doing it for anyone else. They are only doing it to decrease unauthorized parties and restrict people with negative histories. It will also help to prevent restricted accounts for further bookings.
