Over the last five years, I have been on a journey to creating a better life for myself. Each year I have grown a significant amount. In fact, I would say that each year has been growing upon growth. I believe this is what everyone desires. To continually grow and live the life they desire. If this is true, we need resources to make it possible. I have been working on a series of posts to help make that a reality.

My five-year journey has come along way. I have found countless resources and created a few of my own. As I continue to write about creating our best life, I wanted to share 7 resources for creating the life you desire. These resources have been incredibly helpful to me and a few of them are creations of mine to help create more of the life I desire. I hope they are as helpful to you as they are to me.

1. Creating a Word for the Year

This is a post I wrote about creating a word for the year. If you want to give yourself a one-word motivator for what you want to accomplish for the upcoming year, this is a good post to help you develop and know your word for the year.

2. How to Find Your Purpose

Another post I wrote that helps us understand our purpose and priorities. The key to creating a life you desire is to know what is most important to you. This is a resource to help make that a reality.

3. Creating a Life Plan from Michael Hyatt

Michael Hyatt had originally created a free ebook for the purpose of helping people create a life plan. This was one of the most helpful resources I had ever received. More recently, Michael wrote a book called Living Forward, if you haven’t purchased it, I suggest you do. It took my life plan to a new level. Read more about how it changed my life.

4. The Beginners Guide to Goal Setting from Michael Hyatt

This is another resource that was very helpful to me. And since finding it years ago, I have adapted it to my own use to fit myself. The fun thing is that I have been able to share more about my goals journey with family and friends and it has been based on this post.

5. Three Reasons You Should Set Goals

I wrote a post sharing about three important aspects of setting goals. These are what I have learned from the last five years about setting goals and how important they are to creating the life I desire.

6. Seven Powerful Techniques to Help You Achieve Your Goals

Goal-setting is one thing, goal-achieving is another. This article shares seven helpful techniques to achieving goals. It helps focus on not only the setting aspect but how to take steps toward achieving your goals. It is very useful in understanding what it takes to make goals happen.

Final Thoughts

Living the life we desire comes in all shapes and sizes. Yet, we do not have to hope that it happens. There is a lot of things that we can do to help make this life happen for us. Using the resources above, you can find ways to achieve your goals, see your dreams come true, and make the most of your life right now.

Most of all, these resources empower you to live your best life on your terms.

No one else will do this for you. It is up to you. Sure, you can blame a poor economy, Covid-19, a terrible president for why things haven't gone your way. Yet, a lot of the things you are experiencing aren't because of anyone else. So, take hold of your life, set some goals, create a plan, and start living your best life today.
