Los Angeles is a city of many faces. From the glitz and glamour to Mideast Los Angeles hipsters, it's home to all walks of life. But when you need a delicious burger on Monday night, where do you go? With some fast-food places closed, will there be any good place that offers just what we're looking for - burgers?

In an unofficial poll with over 138 comments from social media users on a neighborhood Facebook page, the question was asked, "What are your favorite burger joints on a Monday night?"
In-N-Out Burger is a contender, but people wanted a burger from a small business to try. And while some might think Mcdonald's would have been at the top spot by default since they offer 24-hour service 365 days a year but surprisingly, their food was not as popular as these five local burger restaurants - and thanks to that unofficial Facebook poll of 138 responses.
Originally a pop-up and now permanent in Highland Park since May 2020. The smash burgers made with grass-fed beef have quickly become a favorite amongst locals in the Mideast Side.

Solid, old-school no-frills burger. They come unsalted so ask for the fries seasoning. Also, no-frills easy ordering online.

Rick's Drive-In and Out
Huge shout-outs for their Double Bacon Cheeseburger. For over 30 years, Rick's diner stop is essential for Dodgers fans.

Yucas is not known for its burgers; most come for the tacos. But sometimes, you receive wonderful meals that you would never typically order because you expect them to specialize in something else - such as these burgers cooked in the pork fat of the tacos.

Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburgers
At the south end of Echo Park on Rampart & Beverly, the Original Tommy's is an institution for burger-loving locals. Fondly known as "The Shack," where it all started over 74 years ago.
Highly recommended: two Extra Chili Cheeseburgers with grilled onions, everything, and chili peppers. A local advised you must ask and put the chili peppers on yourself. One local notes, "seedless with the juice is better."
But there were too many recommendations from the menu, so you might as well find your own favorite burger. Open 24 hours.
