Nothing beats a homestyle meal’s hardiness and ability to satisfy any appetite. Uncle Joe’s Diner in Hamburg, New York has been serving up classic homestyle hits like that alongside diner icons like chicken wings and lunch wraps for years now, giving foodies the best of two American classic cuisines at once.

Burgers are always a solid choice at Uncle Joe’s too, whether one wants a classic cheeseburger, or a specialty burger like the Big Joe with provolone, sauteed onions, and peppers. A personal favorite burger is the Papa Mike, which comes with cheddar and jack cheeses, bacon, and a sunny side up egg to top it off.

Handhelds do not just stop at burgers either, the melts at Uncle Joe’s are phenomenal, like the ham and swiss or patty melt on rye. One absolute must-try melt for any first-time visitor is the double-decker Reuben melt, featuring one’s choice of traditional corned beef or turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing on rye for a classic Buffalo cuisine icon.

“My favorite thing on the menu at Uncle Joe’s has to be the Reuben melt,” said local Hamburg resident Graham Arnold. “You have got to get it the classic way with the corned beef. Everything melts in your mouth. Honestly it is a great value for the price too.”

Homestyle dinners at Uncle Joe’s are a crowd favorite too, like the roast turkey or roast beef dinners with gravy. The clear champion of the dinner menu, however, is the homemade meatloaf with gravy. Perfectly composed with a luscious texture through and through, and topped with that amazing gravy, the meatloaf is a taste of home cooking one surely will not forget.
