There is no shortage of amazing Italian food in Western New York, but one of the absolute best is Bobby J’s Italian American Grille. Located in Cheektowaga, New York, Bobby J’s is also known for their dinner theater, the perfect accompaniment to any fine dining outing.

One iconic dish at Bobby J’s that absolutely captures the essence of Italian cuisine is the homemade manicotti and meatballs. The crepes are, as the name implies, homemade with ricotta cheese that has been seasoned with a hearty blend of spices. The meatballs are similarly seasoned and then perfectly doused in a tangy red sauce for the perfect finish.

Any parmigiana dish at Bobby J’s is sure to please, while the lasagna is another exceptional creation. Featuring a homemade sauce, the layers of ricotta, flat pasta, and spicy Italian beef all melt together to create on of the best bites of flavor one could ask for.

The chicken dishes at Bobby J’s are a little on the pricy side, but one signature dish – the chicken parm Geraldo – is a must-try for any first time diner. The classic chicken parmesan dish comes prepared as one would expect with the chicken breast and sauce, then gets kicked up a notch with sauteed banana peppers, a one hundred percent Buffalo move.

While Italian is their specialty, the fish fry on Fridays at Bobby J’s is a remarkable plate to try too. Haddock is available any other day of the week for those who cannot wait in the superb broiled Atlantic, Italian style, or Cajun haddock dishes on the land and sea entrees portion of the menu.
