Known for the intense kinetic energy in the crowds that takes place at any of their shows, Buffalo’s Mohawk Place has been hit by the COVID pandemic just as hard as many other Buffalo music institutions.

Mohawk Place recently updated their show schedules with new information regarding cancellations, postponements, and god willing, some live events still scheduled for the venue in the coming months.

Cancelled or Postponed

The FTMP event Swallow the Sun and Infected Rain in Buffalo, New York, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at 6 in the evening, has been cancelled. A post by FTMP Events on the event’s Facebook stated of refunds: “We just put through a cancellation via Purplepass Ticketing, please give at least a few days for your refund to be processed. If you have any trouble getting your money back, please email us at: ForTheMusicBuffalo@Gmail.com.”

Red City Radio with special guests Decent Criminal and Dead Bars originally scheduled for Sunday, May 16 at six in the evening has been cancelled as well. According to a post on the event’s Facebook by sponsor After Dark Presents: “Unfortunately due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and travel uncertainty, Red City Radio have cancelled their tour including their May 16, 2021 date at Mohawk Place. Refunds are available at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded by Etix within 30 business days.”

Lastly, The Sword at Mohawk Place with special guests King Buffalo has also been postponed with no new date yet given. To avoid confusion around no date having yet been chosen, sponsor After Dark Presents noted the following on the event’s Facebook:

“This event is postponed and is being rescheduled. A new date will be announced in the coming days. Tickets previously purchased will be valid at the new date. In an effort to keep this page alive where we can update everyone with the New Show info, we had to change the date of this Facebook Event to a "future date," so the page stayed active, thus us picking a fake date of December 31, 2021. Facebook doesn’t allow you to update information once the Facebook Event date has passed, so we had to pick a new date in the interim of working out the new show details. Please note, this is NOT the new show date. We repeat, this is NOT the new show date. The band is currently working on the new dates and we will be announcing the new show date for this very soon so stay tuned!”

Still Scheduled

Emo Night – Buffalo (Spring 2021 Edition) is still scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 24 at 8 in the evening. Emo Night, also sponsored by FTMP Events, will be hosted by DJ Alexis Valentine and featuring Cut Me Up Genny live on stage. There will be a $10 cover to the six-hour long early 2000s throwback party.

Flotsam and Jetsam with Exham Priory, Coffin Hook, Midnight Symphony, and Desecrator is still scheduled for Wednesday, May 19 with doors at 6 in the evening. Tickets to the eighteen plus only show are $22 presale and $25 day of.

The Evolution CD Release Show with The Last Reign, The Behest of Serpents, and two more bands to be announced, is still on the docket for Saturday, May 22 with doors at 7 in the evening and the show starting at 8. Tickets are available through the bands directly with presale starting at $10 and doors at $12.

PowerGlove in Buffalo with Immortal Guardian, Armcannon, The Last Reign, and The Finality Complex is now scheduled for Saturday, September 18 with doors at 6 in the evening. The FTMP and Rochester Entertainment Events sponsored, eighteen plus only show has tickets starting at $15 presale and $20 day of.

After Dark Presents The Slackers with special guests to be announced has officially been rescheduled to Thursday, November 4 with doors starting at 7 in the evening. If you cannot attend the new date, refunds can be requested via Etix within 30 days of this rescheduling. Please contact them at 1-800-514-3849.”

Nile in Buffalo with Seplophile, Mass Casualty, Ethan Weissman’s Mass Extinction Event, and Expiry is slated to take place on Saturday, November 6 with doors at 6 in the evening. This previously rescheduled event is presented by FTMP Events with tickets starting at $25 presale and $30 day of.
