A new restaurant has come to Batavia.

This month, the new restaurant Tealside Diner opened for business in Batavia. You can find the restaurant at 1096 Old State Rte 74.

For breakfast, you can get the Tealside Slammer, which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage patties, buttermilk pancakes, and your choice of home fries, hash browns, or potato cakes. Also on the menu are biscuits & gravy, goetta, omelets, French toast (in addition to regular French toast, the restaurant offers these flavors: strawberry, banana, blueberry, and chocolate), and waffles.

The diner also offers some brunch items like the Farmhouse Skillet (which comes with home fries, bacon, cheese, sausage gravy, 2 eggs, and your choice of a biscuit or toast) and breakfast burritos, which are stuffed with home fries, sauteed onions, green peppers, breakfast meat, scrambled eggs, cheese, and sausage gravy.

For lunch and dinner, the menu includes cod sandwiches, buffalo chicken wraps, ham & Swiss melts, chicken tenders, BLTs, the breakfast burger (which is topped with a sunny side up egg and bacon), the Southerner (which is a burger topped with house-made burger sauce, sauteed onions, and pickles), and more.

This is a brand new restaurant. It's right down the street from my house and I couldn't wait until it opened. I had the Cod platter with fries and coleslaw. My wife had the hamburger and fries. They were both extremely good. The service was absolutely phenomenal. When I walked up to the door, someone actually opened it for me and let me in. I'm not sure it's going to be that way for everyone, but I was certainly impressed. You need to check this place out. I will certainly be back. I'm going to get breakfast next time. It looks really good.

When I heard there was a new dinner in the area I knew I had to try it. I'm glad I did. The food was good and the service was great. They serve both lunch/dinner and breakfast all day. This will be a welcome addition to the area.
