A popular barbecue restaurant has opened a new location in Cincinnati.
Bee's Barbecue has opened a second location in Cincinnati. The new location - which is located in the city's OTR neighborhood at 1403 Vine St - opened its doors at the end of September.
The restaurant is a venture from owner-pitmaster Brendan Hague (his nickname is Bee, hence the name of the restaurant).
At the new location, you can get meats like prime brisket, pulled pork, hot links, turkey, and slabs of ribs. For those who don't eat meat, the restaurant also serves BBQ jackfruit. You can add pickles and onions to your meat or "sting it," which means to add slaw, Sting sauce, and Grippos.
The restaurant also offers chicken wings, which are rubbed, smoked, and fried. You can get them with one of the following sauces: Bee's BBQ, Bee Sting (which is a hot BBQ sauce), spicy garlic, mojo mustard, classic buffalo, tequila lime, and BBQ rub.
Also on the menu are sandwiches like the Bee Sting (which comes with pulled pork, coleslaw, Grippo's BBQ chips, and Sting sauce), brisket Philly sandwiches (which come with chopped prime brisket, spicy pickled peppers, onions, mushrooms, your choice of provolone or house-made whiz, and black pepper aioli), Bowling Alley BLTs, and the Debra, which is a smoked turkey sandwich with buttermilk ranch, dill pickles, and blue cheese crumbles. You can substitute any sandwich with jackfruit.
The restaurant also has appetizers like baskets of fries, pickle dip, deep-fried deviled eggs, Texas charcuterie (which comes with sausages, pickles, onions, mustard, and crackers), and Spam burnt ends, which come with a teriyaki glaze, grilled pineapple, everything bagel seasoning, and chives.
As for sides, the restaurant offers mac and cheese, coleslaw, collard greens, sticky BBQ beans (which are cooked with brisket and sweet yet spicy), cornbread, and potato salad.
Here is what a local guide had to say about the new restaurant in a Google review:
Brisket and pulled pork were amazing. The fries are delicious and all the sides made the dish come together perfectly. The service and friendliness of staff was outstanding. Highly recommend.
