In case you missed it, a new restaurant has opened in Niles.

Are you in the mood for tacos? If the answer is yes, you might want to check out Gringo’s Express Tacos, which is a restaurant that opened in Niles last month. You can find the new restaurant at 41 Vienna Ave.

At the new restaurant, you can get started on items like guacamole, dirty queso (which is queso with roasted corn, chicken, tomatoes, beans, and salsa), trash can nachos (which are loaded with onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, queso fresco, and queso fundido), and more.

Also on the menu are, of course, tacos. You can get your tacos either gringo style (flour tortilla with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and jalapeno) or street style, which consists of a double corn tortilla with onions, cilantro, radish, and lime. Protein options include ground beef, chorizo, al pastor, chicken, veggie, carnitas, steak, shrimp, and fish.

In addition, the restaurant offers tortas, which can be made either gringo style (beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sour cream) or street style, which consists of beans, avocado, pico, onions, and mayo.

The restaurant also serves fajitas, some pizzas, flautas, enchiladas, chimichangas, and burritos. Check out the Tijuana burrito, which is stuffed with carnitas, pastor meat, chorizo, rice, beans, and guacamole.

If you have room for something sweet, the restaurant offers cinnamon ice cream and churro waffles, which are deep fried waffles topped with sugar, cinnamon, and ice cream.
