A popular local restaurant chain is planning to open a new location in Kettering.
Are you a fan of the restaurant TJ Chumps? If the answer is yes, you might want to know that the local chain is opening a new location in Kettering.
This will be the chain's fifth location. TJ Chumps currently has open locations in Miamisburg, Englewood, Fairborn, and Huber Heights.
At the new restaurant, you can expect to see appetizers like soft Bavarian pretzel sticks (which come with creamy beer cheese dip and cheese sauce), fried mozzarella sticks, buffalo chicken dip, garlic white cheddar cheese curds (which are made with a half-pound of garlic and come with chipotle ranch sauce), and chips with homemade salsa.
TJ Chumps' menu also has a wide variety of sandwiches including pulled sirloin (which comes on toasted sourdough bread and comes with sautéed mushrooms, melted mozzarella, and roasted garlic mayo), salmon (which has a 6-ounce sushi grade salmon fillet and comes on a toasted brioche bun with the restaurant's tartar sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle chips), BLTs, portabella (which is a great vegetarian option and has a portabella mushroom covered in melted Swiss, roasted garlic mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle chips between a toasted brioche bun), buffalo chicken wraps, and more.
Also on the menu are traditional and boneless wings as well as spicy cauliflower wings. You can get your wings tossed in one of these sauces: hot, medium, Caribbean jerk, ancho bourbon, G's dry rub, sweet ginger chili, mild, BBQ, and honey BBQ.
In addition, the chain offers bourbon pulled salmon tacos (in addition to pulled sushi-grade salmon that's basted in the restaurant's ancho bourbon sauce, these tacos come with ranch, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onion, and shredded mozzarella), burgers (check out the Chump Boy burger, which comes with a hand-made beef patty, tartar sauce, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and pickle chips), chicken finger baskets, BBQ baby back ribs (which are slow cooked and charbroiled with your choice of the restaurant's signature spice blend or BBQ sauce), grilled pork chops, sirloin steaks, and fish and chips, which feature four fillets of beer-battered pollock.

No opening date for the new restaurant has been announced yet, but TJ Chumps is currently hiring for the upcoming Kettering location.
