A new restaurant has come to Huber Heights.
In case you missed it, Mr. Pollo Mexican Grill opened its doors earlier this year and celebrated its grand opening on April 28. As one could guess from the name of the place, the new restaurant in Huber Heights offers chicken.
At Mr. Pollo, you can get combo meals with their grilled chicken. You can get breasts, wings, legs, thighs, and even whole chickens. A combo meal comes with a side of your choice. Side options include fries, charro beans, chiles toreados (blistered peppers), Mexican rice, coleslaw, macaroni, flour tortillas, or corn tortillas.
Speaking of the corn tortillas, the restaurant makes them fresh in-house.
Aside from chicken, the restaurant offers a selection of soft tacos. You can get gobernador shrimp tacos (which come with shrimp, grilled onions, tomatoes, and mozzarella), grilled chicken tacos (which come with guacamole and pico de gallo), carne asada tacos (which also come with guacamole and pico de gallo), and birria tacos, which come with shredded beef, onions, and cilantro.
They also offer crispy taquitos, crispy folded tacos, taco bowls (which come with your choice of meat, rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, and cheese), burritos, chimichangas, and salads.
If you have room for dessert, the restaurant offers tres leches cake and caramel cake.

I've been waiting for Mr. Pollo to open for quite a while & the wait was worth it! I already had picked up their menu & my wife & I knew what we wanted. We had combo #1, a chicken breast & wing. With the combo you get, along with salsa & 3 tortillas ( either flour or corn) 2 sides. I got refried beans & 3 roasted peppers. My wife got Mexican rice & birrrio beans. The chicken is roasted, not fried & was awesome! Juicy, tender & flavorful! All the sides were very, very good. The salsas were also good. We will be back..
