A new ice cream shop has come to Seville.
On June 1, Skoops Ice Cream opened its second location in Seville. The ice cream shop opened its first location in Barberton, where it earned great reviews from locals (it has an average of over 4.5 stars with over 1,000 Google reviews).
The shop is known for its yellow-tinted homemade frozen custard, which is made with these "three main ingredients: milk, cream and egg yolks" (hence the color!).
At the new Seville location, customers can treat themselves to vanilla frozen custard as well as chocolate custard and twist custard, which mixes both vanilla and chocolate. In addition, the shop features a specialty flavor of the week. Past flavors from Skoops Ice Cream have included banana, pistachio, peanut butter, cake batter, coffee, and blueberry.
Aside from frozen custard, Skoops serves premium ice cream. Flavors you can expect to see include chocolate peanut butter, mint chocolate chip, cookie monster (which is blue moon ice cream mixed with cookie dough, Chips Ahoy, and Oreos), birthday cake, lemon cheesecake, cookie dough, banana pudding, butter pecan and cashew, superman, and strawberry.
For those with dietary restrictions, Skoops also has no-sugar-added ice cream and dairy-free ice cream.
Other sweet treats the shop offers are ice cream cakes, cheesecake on a stick, chocolate chip cookie sandwiches with custard, and made-to-order funnel cakes, which can be added to any sundae.
If you're not much of a sweets person, Skoops also has some savory offerings. Customers love their Coney dogs (which are covered in homemade Coney sauce), walking tacos (which have Doritos, their homemade sauce, and shredded cheddar cheese), and Barberton dogs, which are covered in Coney sauce and coleslaw.
In its first few days of operation, the Seville location has drawn an overwhelmingly positive reception from customers. A local guide had this to say in a Google review:
