A new dessert shop has opened in Minerva, Ohio

A new dessert shop has come to Minerva.

Are you in the mood for a sweet treat? If the answer is yes, you might want to know about the Komfort Zone, which is a dessert shop that opened its doors in Minerva on May 4. The Komfort Zone originally started as a food truck before opening its new brick-and-mortar location.

At the new shop, you can get ice cream. You can get flavors like munchie madness (which is cake batter ice cream with a salted caramel ripple, Oreos, M&M pieces, and peanut butter cups), peanut butter cup, and Fat Elvis, which is banana ice cream with a salty peanut butter ripple and chocolate chips. The shop also has classic flavors like old-fashioned vanilla (which is made with Wisconsin cream, cane sugar, and pure vanilla), chocolate (which is made with real cocoa), and strawberry, which contains plenty of real strawberries.

Past flavors (and flavors you might be able to see again in the future) have included kitty kitty bang bang (which is cheesecake ice cream with a sweet raspberry ripple, Oreos, and chocolate chunks), Yippee Skippee (which is peanut butter ice cream with salted caramel ripple, brownie bits, and chocolate-covered pretzels), coconut almond bliss (which is coconut ice cream with almonds and chocolate flakes), lemon meringue, blueberry cheesecake, and exhausted parent, which is bourbon-spiked espresso ice cream with bittersweet chocolate chunks.

If you want to try a couple of different ice cream flavors, you can get an ice cream flight, which comes with 4 flavors of your choice. They also offer sundaes including the pineapple upside down sundae, which comes with pineapple upside down cake plus the ice cream and two toppings of your choice.

In addition to ice cream, you can get treats like ice cream sundae cupcakes, Reese's cupcakes, vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting and sprinkles, buckeye cookies, vanilla cake pops, mini banana nut bread loaves, mini blueberry banana bread loaves, blueberry turnovers, apple turnovers, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered potato chips, buckeyes, and fudge.

The new shop is open 4 days a week, Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM, Friday from 3 PM to 9 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
