A new restaurant has come to the city of Lorain.
Are you looking for a new place to get breakfast or lunch? If the answer is yes, you might want to check out 4th Street Diner, which just celebrated its grand opening in Lorain earlier this month.
The new restaurant offers breakfast items like traditional eggs benedict, smoked salmon benedict (in addition to smoked salmon on a toasted English muffin, this benedict comes with sliced avocado, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, and chives), huevos rancheros (which come with 2 sunny side up eggs, fried tortillas, homemade salsa, cilantro, and a side of black beans), steak and eggs (the steak is a sirloin covered with grilled onions and mushrooms), omelets, Belgian waffles, biscuits with sausage gravy, pancakes, and Texas French toast.
Later in the day, the restaurant offers burgers. Check out the chili burger (which features a special blend beef patty topped with homemade chili, shredded cheddar, and diced onions), Caprese burger (which has a beef patty mixed with pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and more pesto), and vegetarian portobello mushroom burger (which is topped with lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, and the restaurant's house-made burger sauce).
The diner also serves sandwiches such as buffalo chicken sandwiches, BLTs, Monte Cristo (which is a French toast sandwich topped with powdered sugar and filled with ham, Swiss, and Dijon mustard), Chicago-style Italian beef (which can be dipped in gravy upon request and topped with your choice of giardiniera peppers or sweet peppers), and tuna melts.
If you're looking for vegetarian options, check out the California grilled cheese (which has pepper jack cheese, avocado, tomato, and mayo) and cheesy veggie panini, which has cheese, spinach, tomato, and avocado. If you want something sweet, check out the Nutella panini, which also has bananas.
If you have room for dessert, the diner offers shakes, malts, sundaes, floats, and banana splits.
Here is what a local guide had to say in a Google review:
Went in on the official grand opening and the food was really good, the atmosphere was great and the service was good. Definitely will be going back to try more.
