This restaurant in Westlake is a great lunch option

The other day, I saw the film Blackberry at the movie theater. I'm no movie critic, but in my opinion, the movie was amazing, and it's a shame more people aren't watching it (the movie hasn't grossed even 2 million dollars at the box office! Really!).

After walking out of the theater, my appetite for good cinema was fulfilled, but my appetite for good food was not. After driving around for a bit and considering my options, I decided to go to Westlake and get a late lunch at Aristo Bistro.

For my meal, I ordered a chicken egg roll ($2) and a bowl of Taiwanese beef ramen soup ($11.95).

The egg roll came out first, and it came out hot and crispy. It was pretty tasty, and I gobbled it up like a hungry wildebeest.

After I finished my egg roll, the Taiwanese beef ramen soup came out, and I was pleasantly surprised by the large size of the bowl, which was almost filled to the brim with broth, noodles, an egg, beef, and various vegetables.

I first took a sip of the broth. It was a bit spicy but thankfully for my wimpy taste-buds, not overwhelmingly so. The soup was plenty hot temperature-wise, though. It was also rich, flavorful, and comforting.

The beef was tender, and there was plenty of it along with a generous amount of noodles, which were cooked well and thankfully not mushy. For vegetables, there was some cabbage, mushrooms, crunchy snow peas, and carrots. I really appreciated the addition of the egg, which had a slightly runny yolk center (just the way I like it).

I can't speak to the authenticity of Aristo Bistro's Taiwanese beef ramen soup, but I can say it definitely pleased my taste-buds, and I eagerly finished my bowl.

For the pre-tax price of $13.95, I was very much satisfied with my meal.

In addition to liking the food, I appreciated the friendly service and the ambiance of the restaurant. It was clean and comfortable, and the décor gave off the vibe of an upscale place (but thankfully, the menu prices didn't give off upscale vibes!).

All in all, if you're in Westlake and looking for a reasonably priced and filling lunch, Aristo Bistro is a great option.

Aristo Bistro is located at 25124 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.
