A popular restaurant has reopened its doors in North Canton.
In September 2021, the restaurant Sylvester's North End Grille suffered a lot of damage when a driver crashed into it, smashing one of the restaurant's walls and wrecking the kitchen in the process. Unfortunately, the incident forced the restaurant to close its doors for a long time for repairs and renovations.
Finally, on April 17 of this year, Sylvester's North End Grille reopened its doors in North Canton, showing off the remodeled space to customers.
The restaurant's menu includes appetizers such as chicken wings, chicken tenders, fried Italian peppers (pepper options include hot banana, mild Cubanelle, or mixed peppers), shrimp cocktail, charcuterie boards (which have Italian cold cuts, cheese, fruits, fig jam, and crostini), house-made buffalo chicken dip, house-made spinach artichoke dip, arancini (which are rice balls filled with mozzarella), loaded potato skins, bruschetta, and Sylvester's signature meatballs.
Also on the menu are wedding soup (the restaurant's version is made with meatballs, chicken, spinach, carrots, and egg), house salad (which has mixed greens, carrot, tomato, and diced onion), and Caprese salad, which has sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, cracked black pepper, extra-virgin olive oil, and aged balsamic.
As for main courses, the restaurant serves prime NY strip steaks, bone-in ribeye steaks, filet mignon, broiled lamb racks, center-cut bone-in pork chops, chicken marsala, and chicken piccata. Each of these meals comes with house salad, fresh bread, the vegetable of the day, and your choice of a baked potato, fries, or pasta.
Also offered at the restaurant are pasta dishes, which come with the house salad and fresh bread. The restaurant offers chicken parmesan, linguine and mussels (the mussels are steamed in white wine with garlic and parsley), cheese ravioli, and a build-your-own pasta dish option. For the build-your-own option, you can choose one of these pastas: angel hair, spaghetti, linguine, or rigatoni. Then you choose one of these sauces: marinara, red sauce, garlic and oil, alfredo, pesto, or vodka cream sauce. Then you can add sausage, meatballs, chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and/or spinach.
They also have seafood dishes like pan-seared scallops, walleye, Atlantic salmon, and broiled scrod.
If you have room for dessert, Sylvester's offers New York cheesecake, homemade bread pudding, tiramisu, chocolate molten lava cake, and spumoni.
If you want to visit the restaurant, you can find it at 4305 Portage St NW, North Canton, OH 44720.
The restaurant is open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday from 3 PM to 10 PM. It is closed on Sunday.
