A new restaurant has come to the city of Columbus.
Do you like Hawaiian BBQ? Do you like ramen? If you answered yes to one or both of those questions, you might want to know that a new restaurant called Sakura Hawaii BBQ & Ramen has opened its doors in Columbus.
To start, the new restaurant offers appetizers such as chicken egg rolls, Japanese vegetable spring rolls, edamame, fried sesame balls, crispy gyoza, chicken katsu, crab Rangoon, takoyaki (which are fried octopus balls topped with bonito flakes and the restaurant's signature sauce), coconut shrimp, and fried oysters.
As for main courses, the restaurant, of course, offers Hawaiian BBQ. In addition to BBQ chicken and BBQ beef, you can get chicken katsu, grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, and/or beef short rib. Each Hawaiian BBQ meal comes with vegetables, macaroni salad, yummy sauce, and steamed rice.
Also on the menu are bowls of ramen, which are topped with scallions, fish cakes, corn, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and a boiled egg. You can get tonkotsu ramen, miso ramen, and/or shoyu ramen.
In addition, the restaurant offers Hawaiian-style fried rice, which has pineapple and corn. You can get vegetable fried rice, chicken fried rice, beef fried rice, shrimp fried rice, or the house fried rice, which comes with chicken, beef, and shrimp.
The restaurant also serves seafood boils. Things you can put in your seafood boil are sausage, corn, potatoes, broccoli, boiled eggs, crawfish, headless shrimp, clams, black mussels, green mussels, lobster tails, and/or snow crab legs. Sauce options are Cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper, or the house sauce. You can make your seafood boil mild or spicy.
Sakura offers some combination boils as well. If you feel like eating a lot of seafood, check out Combo B2, which comes with a lobster tail, a half-pound of snow crab, a half-pound of headless shrimp, a half-pound of sausage, and a half-pound of black mussels plus 2 corn, 2 potatoes, 2 eggs, and broccoli.
Here is what a customer had to say in a Google review:
