Does the idea of fried chicken in a waffle cone sound good to you?
If the answer is yes, you might want to check out Chick'nCone, which has just opened a location in Westerville.
Chick'nCone is a growing quick service restaurant chain that offers chicken and waffles with a twist. Instead of the traditional waffles, the chain offers a hand-rolled waffle cone that is then filled with fried chicken.
At Chick'nCone, the chicken can be tossed in one of these sauces: cinna-maple (which is for people who want the flavors of traditional chicken and waffles), yell BBQ (which has a base of sweet and tangy mustard), BBQ, Kick'nRanch (their most popular sauce, which is ranch with, well, a kick), Buffalo blue (Buffalo sauce with a bit of blue cheese), and peri peri (a hot South African chili sauce). You can also get sauce on the side.
They also have a chicken sandwich that comes on a toasted brioche roll with chicken tenders topped with your sauce of choice plus pickles between the buns.
You can also just get the chicken tenders with a sauce on the side for dipping. Their menu also has the Chick'nBowl, which is a bowl filled with fries, mac and cheese, chicken, and your sauce of choice.
As for sides, they offer shoestring fries with Cajun seasoning, corn with Cajun seasoning, and mac and cheese.
Do you have room for dessert? The restaurant offers milkshakes that are topped with waffle crunch. Flavor options include vanilla, chocolate, and caramel. If you need something to quench your thirst, the chain serves Pepsi products.
The Westerville location is the first in central Ohio and the third in the state (the chain has two locations in the southwestern part of Ohio, near Cincinnati).
For now, the location is going through a soft opening period, so hours will be somewhat limited for the time being. For now, the restaurant is open Thursday to Friday from 3 PM to 8 PM and Saturday to Sunday from 12 PM to 8 PM. Until further notice, it is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
