Residents of the city of Canton will soon be spotting a new food truck around town.
On April 7, the Flaming Marshmallow is set to have its grand opening at the Barrel Room, a bar in North Canton.
The new food truck aims to offer a "gourmet twist on traditional American camping classics."
One American camping staple that the Flaming Marshmallow is offering with a twist is the s'more. Their menu has s'more nachos, which are made with fresh cinnamon sugar chips, toasted marshmallow fluff that's made in-house, and fudge from Heggy's, a local sweet shop.
As for savory offerings, the food truck is serving up burgers, which are made with fresh ground beef. Check out the USA burger, which includes a quarter-pound beef patty, cheddar cheese, shredded romaine lettuce, vine ripened tomato, red onion, and pickle on a brioche bun.
They're also offering the Jammin' burger (which is topped with house-made bacon jam, garlic aioli, cheddar cheese, shredded romaine lettuce, and tomato) and the nacho burger, which includes house-made taco seasoning, nacho cheese, and salsa made with corn, jalapeno, and tomato.
In addition, the Flaming Marshmallow's menu includes all-beef hot dogs. You can get a plain dog, Charlie dog (which is topped with Coney sauce that's made from a secret 16-ingredient recipe), and Jammin' dog, which is topped with house-made nacho cheese and bacon jam.
The food truck also has savory nachos - taco nachos - which have ground beef, taco seasoning, corn tortillas, nacho cheese, taco sauce, sour cream, cilantro, and salsa made with corn, jalapeno, and tomato.
Another sweet option that the Flaming Marshmallow will offer is caramel apple nachos, which have cinnamon sugar chips covered with apple pie filling and caramel sauce.
If you want to try everything on their menu, you can order "Taste the Truck," which comes with all of their burgers, the Charlie dog, the Jammin' dog, taco nachos, loaded tater bombs, s'more nachos, and caramel apple nachos.
