A new eatery has come to the eastside of Greater Cleveland.
Earlier this month, a restaurant called Sam's Southern Eatery opened its doors in Wickliffe. Sam's Southern Eatery is a chain of restaurants that strives to bring Southern food to their customers. The chain has locations across several states. The new Wickliffe location is the third in Ohio; the chain previously opened restaurants in Youngstown and Niles.
The restaurant's menu includes appetizers such as mozzarella cheese sticks, fried green tomatoes, fried mushrooms, and fried pickles.
If you like fried chicken, Sam's has buffalo wings and chicken strips. If you want something a little more adventurous, the eatery also offers fried chicken livers and gizzards.
The restaurant has several seafood options as well including tilapia, shrimp, oysters, crab cakes, and catfish (the tilapia, shrimp, and oysters can be ordered grilled if you're looking for a non-fried option).
In addition, their menu has a variety of sandwiches. You can get a burger with a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mayo (if you're hungry, you can add another beef patty). There are also cheesesteaks with beef, grilled onions, peppers, Swiss cheese, and mayo (a chicken version is available as well). If you want a southern staple, they have po'boys with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and Sam's sauce; you can get a fish or oyster po'boy.
As for sides, the restaurant offers coleslaw, fries, green beans, hushpuppies, red beans and rice, and mac and cheese.

If you want to give the place a try, Sam's Southern Eatery is located at 30560 Euclid Ave, Wickliffe, OH 44092 (where the now closed restaurant El Charrito used to be).
The place is open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM.
