A new restaurant has come to the eastside of Greater Cleveland.
Earlier this year, a restaurant called Spot ChickN'mor opened its doors in Eastlake. Spot ChickN'mor describes itself as an "Asian fusion street food" restaurant.
One of the main features of their menu is their fried chicken (hence the restaurant's name and logo). The restaurant offers wings, drums, and thighs and 3 flavors: soy garlic, garlic parmesan, and spicy vibe. They also offer a few dipping sauces: tangy mayo, spicy mayo, sesame, and spicy. You can get a side of fries as well. You can get plain fries, garlic parmesan fries, or melted cheddar fries.
The restaurant's appetizers include Korean pancakes (which are pan-fried scallion pancakes filled with vegetables), fried tofu nuggets, crab Rangoon, karaage chicken (which is deep-fried boneless chicken and comes with spicy mayo), seaweed salad, deep-fried shrimp shumai, spot peppers (which are fried jalapeno peppers stuffed with spicy tuna), and edamame, which can be prepared with salt or spicy garlic.
They also offer rice bowls with grilled garlic butter chicken, grilled chicken in chili sauce, grilled chicken in a pepper sauce, or deep-fried karaage chicken nuggets with spicy mayo.
In addition, the menu has noodle bowls. Check out the udon noodles and ramen, both of which come in a miso paste broth and are served with fishcake and egg. The restaurant also serves yakisoba noodles and garlic noodles, both of which are pan-fried with your choice of chicken or shrimp.
If you don't eat meat, the restaurant makes a vegetarian version of their garlic noodles with tofu and spring salad, which comes with a boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and sesame dressing.
Need something to drink? In addition to your standard sodas and Ramune sodas, you can get Thai tea, sweet tea, green tea, passion fruit tea, milk tea, and sea salt green tea. They also have a coffee drink called "spot coffee," coffee float, and cherry temple.
So far, reviews of the restaurant have been largely positive. One customer named Rodney wrote in a Google review:
I had the chicken thighs with the spicy vibe sauce. The sauce was very flavorful without being overpowering and the chicken itself was well cooked. Very moist. The addition of orange slices with the fried chicken was a very nice touch
If you want to check out the restaurant, Spot ChickN'mor is located at 34710 Vine St, Eastlake, OH 44095.
