A new breakfast option is now available in Bowling Green.
On March 23, City Egg opened its new location on Main Street. City Egg is a new venture from owner Brandon Buerk, who describes the restaurant as a fast casual version of Scramblers, which is a popular local restaurant chain that was founded by his father and brother (City Egg is actually a Scramblers brand).
This is City Egg's third location. The chain also has locations in Columbus and Toledo.
As one would guess from the name of the restaurant, City Egg's menu is very egg-centric. The restaurant uses freshly cracked eggs.
Meal options include Uncle Moose (which includes bacon, ham, sausage, hash browns, onions, and melted cheese topped with two eggs cooked any way you like plus one side of your choice), avocado toast (which consists of whole grain toast topped with avocado spread, diced tomatoes, feta cheese, two eggs cooked any way you like, and Sriracha sauce plus a side of your choice), Wisconsin scrambled (which includes scrambled eggs that are mixed with Monterey Jack, yellow cheddar, and cream cheese and are topped with tomatoes plus two sides of your choice), and a create your own skillet option.
The menu also has omelets including a South of the Border omelet (which is filled with chorizo sausage, green chilies, onions, salsa, and cheese and is topped with sour cream and chives), Wild Western (which is filled with ham, onion, bell peppers, and cheese), and a build your own omelet option.
In addition, City Egg offers pancakes, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast tacos.
The restaurant is also open for lunch. Their lunch menu isn't egg-focused and has sandwiches like a chicken club, turkey & avocado, bacon grilled cheese, and turkey club wrap.
If you're thirsty, City Egg has a selection of juices. In addition to the standard orange and apple, the restaurant offers beverages such as the sweet-green city limits (which contains apple, pear, spinach, and pineapple juices), urban berry detox (which contains blueberry, pomegranate, orange, and cranberry juices), and metro mango (which contains orange, pineapple, and mango juices). They also have coffee drinks.
City Egg is located at 121 S Main St, Bowling Green, OH 43402. The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 6:30 AM to 3 PM.
