The other day, before watching the new House Party reboot, I got Indian food at Biryani Hut, a local restaurant in Westlake, Ohio.

Unfortunately, the House Party reboot turned out to be mediocre and only occasionally funny. However, the food at Biryani Hut was most certainly not mediocre!

The last time I went to Biryani Hut, I tried their biryani, and it was delicious. This time, I decided to order other things on their menu. Because I was hungry, I got 3 things: samosas, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan.

The samosas came out fresh and hot to the touch. After waiting a few moments for them to cool down a little, I picked up a samosa and bit into it. The pastry was perfectly crispy and flaky, and the filling, which had potato and whole green peas, was well-spiced. I'm typically a voracious meat eater, but the samosas were so tasty and flavorful that I didn't mind the absence of meat at all. The samosas also came with two sauces on the side: green chutney and tamarind chutney. Both sauces were great, but I found myself not dipping my samosas into the chutneys too much because I thought the samosas were more than delicious enough on their own.

After I finished the samosas, I received the basket of garlic naan and chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan had plenty of big bubbles, was crispy on the outside, and was soft on the inside.

But of course, the star of my meal was the chicken tikka masala (which I ordered mild because I'm a big spice wimp). The creamy tomato sauce was delectable and full of flavor, and the chicken tasted great covered in the sauce. Along with the chicken tikka masala came a bowl of white rice. The rice and garlic naan were both perfect vehicles for soaking up the tomato sauce, which I couldn't get enough of, and I used my naan to scrape my bowl clean.

By the end of my meal, I was full and wholly content.

In addition to the food being delicious, the service I received was friendly and attentive.

While I don't really recommend the new House Party movie, I wholeheartedly recommend Biryani Hut if you're looking for a good Indian restaurant in the westside suburbs of Greater Cleveland.

Biryani Hut is located at 26569 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.
