Review: Reese's Fast Break

I love Reese's. It is the golden ratio of peanut butter and chocolate, a food of the sweet gods.

Note—Reese's is not a sponsor, but hey, Reese's, if you're looking for a sponsorship from a struggling smut writer, hit me up.

I even like their offshoots such as Reese's Pieces and Reese's Take 5, which I think is the best candy bar (don't come at me, bro).

However, I've never tried Reese's Fast Break, so when I saw it at the grocery store, I had to try it.

The candy bar, in addition to containing Reese's signature milk chocolate and peanut butter, has a thin layer of chewy nougat.

I took a bite. Then I took another bite, and the candy bar was gone, living up to the name "Fast Break."

And well, it was good.

But was it better than Reese's cups or Reese's Take 5, which are foods of the gods? No.

I feel like there should have been more nougat. Peanut butter is such a strong flavor, and it definitely overwhelmed the thin layer of nougat. So Reese's Fast Break basically tasted like a Reese's cup in candy bar form with a hint of nougat.

If I had to choose between a Reese's cup and Fast Break, I would get the cup because why wouldn't I choose perfection?

According to the wrapper, Reese's Fast Break is gluten-free.

It also has 4 grams of protein. Does this mean it qualifies as a protein bar? 😜

Reese's Take 5, you are still the number one candy bar in my heart.
