After announcing that the game will be out on October 4, Blizzard confirms that the beta will take place on June 28 and will be playable on PC (via BattleNet), PlayStation, and Xbox.

The Overwatch 2 beta will give us the chance to try a new character, Junker Queen, and the new map, which was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase event last Sunday.

Although Blizzard has been running closed betas of Overwatch 2 and its new 5v5 PvP mode for a few months now, this will be the real opportunity where more people be able to try the aforementioned new content.

The announcement that Overwatch 2 will be released in early access on October 4 was made at Microsoft's conference this "non-E3"; Blizzard is doing its streaming this Thursday.

In this transmission, they will give more information on how to get access to the beta, and also, they will also talk about the content planned for the coming months and how the game's seasonal system will work, whose PvP multiplayer mode will be free to play from its launch.

Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard, describes the release of Overwatch 2 as the beginning of a new era for the franchise that is now constantly evolving, promising that players will have frequent and well-planned updates for the future.

To verify this information, we can connect on Thursday the 16th to the Overwatch 2 broadcast to find out how to get access to the beta that begins on June 28.
