Taking mom out for brunch for Mother's Day is a tradition with good reason. It was a day to give mom a break from her typical holiday meal preparations. It also comes at a good time of the year in the mountains of Colorado when the weather warms up and the flowers begin to bloom. Town may be a bit slower with the departure of the ski tourists. But local restaurants still roll out the red carpet for moms. Here's a list of places in the Vail area with special offerings for mom this Mother's Day.

The Westin Riverfront

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa will help moms celebrate Mother's Day their way on Sunday, May 9th with a three-course Mother’s Day Brunch at Maya or a special Lululemon Run + Yoga Event at the Athletic Club at The Westin. We feel grateful to live in the mountains of Colorado and see first hand how climate change is impacting our winters. It is important to us that we share with our readers and followers how they can help preserve what makes a place special. We make a point to learn about the local history and environment of the places we visit. When we visit the Golden Isles of Georgia you will find us making a stop at the Sea Turtle Sanctuary and learning about this endangered species. We return home with books on the subject and a desire to share that knowledge. We love nature and like to spend as much time in it as possible whether hiking a mountain, riding the BMX track, soaring down an alpine coaster or trying a new sport at the beach or lake.
