One of my favorite brunch spots in Webster, NY is Village Bakery on E Main St. Unlike the Pittsford and Armory locations, the one in Webster is one floor but is very spacious. From various breakfast sandwich plates, to breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and smoothies, it's a wonderful place for a Sunday brunch or evey breakfast.
Although their menu includes PM choices that include soups, sandwiches, and salads, so far I have only tried items from their AM menu. Below are some of my orders at Village Bakery and what I enjoyed about each.
- Egg Sandwich on sourdough bread with gruyere, avocado, turkey sausage. My favorite part of this sandwich was the sourdough bread! It was the absolute best I have ever had because it was thick and toasted with some better and had the perfect subtle crunch on the outside and it was very soft on the inside. Also, gruyere is a great combination with sourdough bread! Try it and you'll know what I'm talking about.
- Eggs Benedict Breakfast Plate was very flavorful and extremely filling. My favorite part of this dish were the home fries. My expectations were not high for the home fries but they sure were exceeded. I'm not a huge fan of home fries and this is a plate that I shared with a friend so I took a stab at the home fries, not expecting much. Now, I always think of getting home fries at Village Bakery because of how good they were. The best home fries I have ever had would be an understatement!
- Their chocolate croissants are also phenomenal and go great with a strong coffee like their Americano. I have tried an egg sandwich on a regular croissant, and although I think croissants are very delicious and the ones at Village Bakery were perfection, in my opinion, they are too buttery in general and often feel like a very heavy meal for me.
I think that this is the ultimate brunch location in Webster, NY. Their food is delicious and easy to customize to individual taste. What are your favorite Village Bakery orders?
