Universal Orlando Resort revealed on July 19, 2023, its plans to introduce a fresh collection of beloved tales from DreamWorks Animations' franchises in an entirely new themed area. Scheduled for 2024, this addition will transform the resort into a hub for young children, much like Frisco. Universal's announcement solidifies its commitment to offering diverse and engaging experiences for guests as part of the NBCU family of companies.

The park will occupy a total of 97 acres of land, with the actual park area covering only 30 acres. The remaining acreage will be utilized for parking spaces and hotel facilities. The operating hours for the park were officially established during a city council meeting to be from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. However, these hours may vary throughout the year based on factors such as demand, seasonality, holidays, peak periods, and weekends. It is important to note that the park will never open before 9:00 a.m., unless you are a hotel guest or an annual pass holder in which case it may open at 8:00 a.m.
The park will not stay open past 9:00 p.m., except on a maximum of twenty days per year when it can close at 10:00 p.m. to accommodate holidays and special events. It is anticipated that the park will draw in as many as 20,000 daily visitors and experience over 1,100 vehicle trips per hour during busy periods.
