This morning at 9:15 we responded to reports of a shooting in a Timberview High School classroom.
Officers arrived on scene quickly and secured the school. They determined the shooter left the building after the incident. We are currently searching for him now.
We are looking for 18-year-old Timothy Simpkins, who is pictured below. We believe he is driving a 2018 Silver Dodge Charger with TX License Plate PFY-6260.
He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him DO NOT approach him. Call 911 immediately.
A reunification center is being set up at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts, which is located at 1110 W Debbie Lane. Timberview HS students will be bussed to that location. Parents should pick up their kids there.
Three people were transported to the hospital, two of them with apparent gunshot wounds. We do not have updates on their conditions at this time. A fourth individual was treated and released at the scene with minor injuries.
Our thoughts are with the victims, the students, and staff at Timberview High School — and be assured that APD and all of our law enforcement partners will do everything in our power to bring the suspect to justice.
