Hideaway Beach Resort, located in the picturesque Haa Alifu Atoll, is an idyllic five star destination perfect for those seeking luxury world class accomdation, decadent gourmet dining, and unparalleled facilities sure to please the discerning traveller. From the moment we set foot on the jetty we were were greeted by the warmest welcome and were in awe of the pristine crystal clear water. The long white sand island is easy to traverse by bicycle or buggy and boasts a variety of villas to suit families, couples or groups. We loved the picturesque overwater villa boasting modern stylish decor, a grand bathroom with a view, and a spacious outdoor deck. The highlight was the stunning infinity pool and being just steps into the sparkling Indian Ocean. We also highly recommend the Family Beach Villa for those travelling with multiple children and the incredible Sultan Residence complete with a private waterslide for those travelling with a large group.
Dining options are not only varied but very high quality at each venue. We loved the extensive all inclusive drinks selection which included champagne, top shelf liquors, and perfectly handcrafted cocktails. For lunch we highly recommend dining at Sunset Pool Cafe serving refreshing Mediterranean fare with European poolside vibes. Meeru Bar & Grill is a great spot for relaxed lunches, sunset cocktails, or a romantic dinner under the stars. Samsara, their award winning fine dining destination, serves gourmet Asian cuisine in an unforgettable overwater setting. Don’t miss Matheefaru for leisurely breakfasts alongside ocean views and delicious buffets complete with freshly grilled fish and live music.
We found a plethora of five star facilities and amenities during our stay at Hideaway. Grab your bikes and cycle to the watersports centre were you can kayak in the pristine waters or children can spend the afternoon on the overwater playground. We love partaking in golf, padel tennis, and more at the sports centre and there was a number of enchanting boat excursions including a stunning dolphin cruise at sunset. Little ones can make friends and enjoy activities at the Tender Hearts Kids Clubs and you won’t want to miss the indulgent spa treatments at their world class spa.
