The resort offers a long list of kids activities from boat trips with Best Dives Maldives, Maldivian culture information sessions at the Discovery Center, and variety of non motorised water sports in the stunning lagoon. Rent bikes and zip around the island on two wheels or indulge in world class massages for the whole family. Enjoy stunning sunsets while sipping a tropical cocktail and book a private dinner under the stars. You can pick from a variety of refreshing swimming pools or spend the day at the lively beach club. The choices are endless.

Dining options are a huge highlight at SAii and the dine around all inclusive allows you access to a variety of restaurants in SAii, Crossroads and Hard Rock. We loved the relaxing poolside lunches at Miss Olive Oyl Pool Bar, dining beside the beach club pool and Mr Tomyam, authentic Chinese fare at Jiao Wu, and spicy and satisfying curries at Kebab & Kurry. Book a surf and turf dinner at Terra & Mar or a private cooking session with the chef in Saii’s Badhige. Indulge in the best burger in the Maldives at the Hard Rock Cafe and the international buffets at Miss Olive Oyl are a must try.

Note: We were given a complimentary dining experience at this restaurant. We recently visited the luxurious Kerry Hotel to try their gastronomic Oceanic Foodventure Dinner Buffet. The welcoming and relaxed venue is perfect for family dining and serves one of the most mouthwatering dinner buffets in Hong Kong. We were lucky enough to grab a sumptuous booth table beside to window and admire Hong Kong harbour views while delighting in the decadent fare. Foodies will be very excited to sample the huge variety of indulgent dishes, especially jet fresh seafood.

Canareef, located on a long and picturesque island is the southernmost Maldives Atoll, is a stunning tropical paradise perfect for the whole family. We were warmly greeted by the friendly team and served refreshing coconuts upon arrival. The 4.5 km island is surrounded by turquoise ocean and abundant marine life as well as pristine white sand beaches and an abundance of facilities. Our Jacuzzi Villa was spacious and cozy, perfect for a family of four, and featured a modern outdoor bathroom complete with sundeck and private Jacuzzi. We loved our ocean facing outdoor patio and being just steps from the Indian Ocean. The best way to explore the island is by bike and we enjoyed cycling as a family and sampling all the resort has to offer.

We loved the bright and welcoming property featuring modern and sleek guestrooms, a delicious all day dining restaurant, and optimal location beside the beach and local diving centre.

Hulhulmale, located just a 10 minute drive from Maldives’ International airport, is a great option if you want to see an inhabited island and slices of local life. Unlike staying at one of the big resort islands you’ll have access to shops, buzzing streets and markets, and a chance to try a variety of local eateries. This can be a great way to visit the Maldives on a lower budget.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Our family had an unforgettable stay at the idyllic and picturesque Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort. The luxurious five star resort brings all the world class service and amenities of the favoured brand to paradise ensuring we had the best service, facilities, and experience on one of the most beautiful locations in the Maldives. Our modern and sleek overwater suite was a huge highlight of our stay. The sprawling space boasted a sumptuous master bed overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean, a gigantic bathroom and bathtub with a view, and even a separate lounge which was easily converted to a bedroom for our two children. The spacious outdoor deck leaves plenty of room to dine and unwind. We spent mornings relaxing on the overwater nets and plenty of time swimming in the refreshing private infinity pool.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Centara Grand Island Resort Maldives is a true paradise for families looking for that unforgettable ocean getaway. As soon as we set foot on the scenic jetty we knew we had found a unique property. The sparkling clear turquoise waters were impressive, even by Maldives standards, and the welcoming team made us feel instantly at home. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Beach Villa with Private Pool which incorporated separate rooms and bathrooms for the children and parents as well as a comfortable lounge area, large outdoor deck, and refreshing pool. We were set right in the sand with spectacular views and just steps to the crystal clear ocean. The water was calm and inviting, suitable for young swimmers and great for families to enjoy together.

Hideaway Beach Resort, located in the picturesque Haa Alifu Atoll, is an idyllic five star destination perfect for those seeking luxury world class accomdation, decadent gourmet dining, and unparalleled facilities sure to please the discerning traveller. From the moment we set foot on the jetty we were were greeted by the warmest welcome and were in awe of the pristine crystal clear water. The long white sand island is easy to traverse by bicycle or buggy and boasts a variety of villas to suit families, couples or groups. We loved the picturesque overwater villa boasting modern stylish decor, a grand bathroom with a view, and a spacious outdoor deck. The highlight was the stunning infinity pool and being just steps into the sparkling Indian Ocean. We also highly recommend the Family Beach Villa for those travelling with multiple children and the incredible Sultan Residence complete with a private waterslide for those travelling with a large group.
