The beachfront resort features a variety of guest rooms and private pool villas, mouthwatering international dining destinations, a friendly and engaging kids club, state of the art fitness centre, and a beautiful seafront swimming pool.

We loved our private and serene Pool Villa complete with a decadent bathtub and plenty of space if you’re travelling with young children. Days were spent walking along the pristine and quiet beach, splashing in the resort’s main pool, or enjoying relaxing time as family in our villa. We loved the sprawling breakfast buffets, casual lunches at Sand Box, and the mouthwatering authentic Thai cuisine at Takieng.

Kids can join in the variety of activities on the Kids Club schedule or splash in the child friendly swimming pool and adults can unwind in the decadent spa or get fit in the modern gym. The optimal location allows for easy access to boat trips around the island or day trips to local shops and eateries. Renaissance Phuket’s friendly staff went out of their way to ensure we had a smooth stay from a quick check-in process, daily housekeeping and turn down service, buggies to escort us around the resort, and so much more. We have always loved our stay at this luxury resort and even as our children get older they still enjoy each visit as much as the last.

Takieng

Takieng serves mouthwatering authentic Thai cuisine in a traditional and elegant setting. Located in five star Renaissance Phuket, the enviable dining destination is perfect for mouthwatering Thai fare and spectacular sunsets. The welcoming dining room boasts indoor and outdoor tables, wraparound windows, and beautiful sea views. There are also bigger tables and rooms for group dining and intimate corner tables for date nights.

We loved the varied and extensive menu featuring all our favourite Thai dishes, southern specialities, and portion sizes ideal for sharing. Highlights included the Blue Elephant collaboration dish of Braised Beef Cheek with Seared Purple Potato, Local Mai Khao Leaves and Smoked Tumee Sauce, the fragrant “Pla Kapong Mieng Kham” Deep Fried Whole Sarasin Sea Bass with Tamarind Sauce, Shallot, Chili, Ginger, Dried Shrimp, Peanuts, Cashew Nuts and Betel Leaves, the fresh and juicy “Goong Nam Makham” Deep Fried Sarasin Tiger Prawns with Tamarind Sauce and Deep Fried Shallot, and the creamy and indulgent “Gaeng Massaman Nue” Braised Beef with Massaman Curry, Potatoes, Peanuts and Onions. A kids menu ensures there’s something for everyone and their creative cocktails are a great accompaniment to your delicious meal.

Sand Box

Sand Box, Renaissance Phuket’s casual beachfront dining destination, is a perfect spot to enjoy lunch or dinner while in the Mai Khao beach area. The inviting restaurant encourages you to dine with your feet in the sand and enjoy sea views and sunshine while delving into casual fare. Their international menu features wood fired pizzas, juicy burgers, delectable salads and pastas, and even traditional Thai and Indian fare. The healthy and varied children’s menu is sure to please young diners and we loved the friendly staff and service. Make sure to sample their fresh grilled seafood, juicy ribs, and save room for dessert for a chance to indulge in the decadent Monster Cookie.  A perfect spot for the whole family.
