InterContinental Phuket is one of our favourite beach resorts on the island boasting luxurious guest rooms, impeccable five star service, unbeatable dining options, family friendly experiences, and optimal beachfront location. The stylish property is split into two sides with ocean facing and mountain facing rooms. Guests have access to four swimming pools, a state of the art fitness centre, world class gym, and direct access to the beachfront. We loved our connecting mountain view rooms overlooking tranquil green views and just steps to an infinity pool and separate serene pool.

The main beachfront pool is ideal for lazy afternoons and you are just steps from picturesque Kamala Beach. Our kids loved the variety of activities at the interactive Planet Trekkers Kids Club including the Planet Guardian activity, a unique project where children learn about the effects of plastic on our oceans and have the opportunity to create art out of the plastic they find on the beach.

Dining options are plentiful at the InterContinental from relaxed all day dining at Pinto, authentic Japanese at Tengoku, stylish beachfront options at Pine Beach Bar and 333 At The Beach, and modern Thai fare at Jaras. Hom, InterContinetal’s world class fine dining establishment led by Chef Ricardo Nunes, is a must dine spot in Phuket serving one of the most innovative and delicious menus we have tried.

The small and intimate space features interactive bar seating where guests have a front row view of Chef Nick Sor in action. Chef Nick boasts an impressive history with experience at Michelin Star Andre in Singapore and Hong Kong’s Yardbird. He has devoted himself to direct fire cooking, mastering the art and refining a menu which showcases a variety of flavours and textures using the intricate skill.

Tucked on a quiet corner of Taipei’s popular Daan District, MUMU, which is No. 45 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, serves up tantalising recipes in a stylish and intimate setting. We loved the sleek interiors, alluring open bar, and minimal dining room. The welcoming staff instantly introduced us to the unique fine dining concept and we picked a wine pairing package to match the delicious tasting menu.

We loved the creative renditions of classic dishes, delicate flavours, and unique use of local produce.

The Farmhouse, at Hyatt Centric Hong Kong, is currently serving a Surf & Turf themed dinner buffet bringing together the freshest seafood and juiciest cuts of meat, creating a perfect evening for the whole family. We loved starting with the cold seafood section which included decadent Brown Crab, Snow Crab Legs, Prawns, Clams, Mussels and Whelks and even a Sashimi Counter with made to order sashimi prepared for you by the chef.

Note: We were given a complimentary dining experience at this restaurant. We recently visited the luxurious Kerry Hotel to try their gastronomic Oceanic Foodventure Dinner Buffet. The welcoming and relaxed venue is perfect for family dining and serves one of the most mouthwatering dinner buffets in Hong Kong. We were lucky enough to grab a sumptuous booth table beside to window and admire Hong Kong harbour views while delighting in the decadent fare. Foodies will be very excited to sample the huge variety of indulgent dishes, especially jet fresh seafood.

Canareef, located on a long and picturesque island is the southernmost Maldives Atoll, is a stunning tropical paradise perfect for the whole family. We were warmly greeted by the friendly team and served refreshing coconuts upon arrival. The 4.5 km island is surrounded by turquoise ocean and abundant marine life as well as pristine white sand beaches and an abundance of facilities. Our Jacuzzi Villa was spacious and cozy, perfect for a family of four, and featured a modern outdoor bathroom complete with sundeck and private Jacuzzi. We loved our ocean facing outdoor patio and being just steps from the Indian Ocean. The best way to explore the island is by bike and we enjoyed cycling as a family and sampling all the resort has to offer.

Located just 10 minutes from Maldives’ international airport, the local island is a great option for those travelling to the country on a smaller budget or need to stay overnight before their seaplane transfer to a resort the next morning. We loved the bright and welcoming property featuring modern and sleek guestrooms, a delicious all day dining restaurant, and optimal location beside the beach and local diving centre.

Hulhulmale, located just a 10 minute drive from Maldives’ International airport, is a great option if you want to see an inhabited island and slices of local life. Unlike staying at one of the big resort islands you’ll have access to shops, buzzing streets and markets, and a chance to try a variety of local eateries. This can be a great way to visit the Maldives on a lower budget.

Note: We were given a complimentary stay at this resort. Our family had an unforgettable stay at the idyllic and picturesque Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort. The luxurious five star resort brings all the world class service and amenities of the favoured brand to paradise ensuring we had the best service, facilities, and experience on one of the most beautiful locations in the Maldives. Our modern and sleek overwater suite was a huge highlight of our stay. The sprawling space boasted a sumptuous master bed overlooking the turquoise Indian Ocean, a gigantic bathroom and bathtub with a view, and even a separate lounge which was easily converted to a bedroom for our two children. The spacious outdoor deck leaves plenty of room to dine and unwind. We spent mornings relaxing on the overwater nets and plenty of time swimming in the refreshing private infinity pool.
